Conduct Veterans Resource Fair in the Phoenix West Valley Region
The Phoenix West Valley has never had a comprehensive Veterans Resource Center. DAV Department of Arizona, Chapter 24 in Surprise, and Chapter 20 in Glendale plan to resolve that problem. The Veterans Resource Fair will offer hands-on support with VA benefits, employment (AZ DES), health (screenings, mental health, dental by local providers), housing resources and contacts, shower trailer(s), and immediate needs (food, hygiene kits, haircuts, etc.). Opportunities for connecting with local DAV Service Officers and members and community groups are designed to provide holistic support and immediate resources for Veterans and their families.
