DAV National Service Programs

National Service Program Director
The DAV National Service Program provides free, professional assistance to all generations of veterans in obtaining benefits earned through service from the VA and other government agencies. Our national service officers assist in filing claims for VA compensation, pension and death benefits and many other programs.
In an effort to reach out to more veterans, DAV implemented the Information Seminar program. This program is designed to educate veterans and their families about specific veterans benefits and services. A schedule of Information Seminar locations can be found on our website: dav.org/info-seminars

National Voluntary Services Director
During any given year, DAV volunteers contribute more than 2.5 million hours in VA medical facilities. They bring veteran patients comfort in knowing that their community remembers and cares about them.
We believe no one in America should go without health care simply because they don’t have a ride. That’s particularly true of a man or woman whose sacrifices in our nation’s armed forces have made the American way of life possible. Local chapters and state-level departments are actively involved in providing free transportation to veterans who have no way to get to VA hospitals and clinics for the medical care they need.

National Caregiver Support Program Director
The DAV Caregivers Support Program is a free, nonprofit initiative providing tailored concierge support and personalized care plans for friends, family, and loved ones caring for veterans. It connects caregivers with dedicated specialists to reduce stress, improve quality of life, and help care receivers stay in their homes.
While the DAV program serves as an excellent resource for any caregiver, it is completely separate from the government's VA Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC). The VA's program is a federally funded initiative that offers health coverage, respite care, and stipends to eligible family caregivers of severely injured veterans. You can utilize both programs simultaneously, and DAV National Service Officers can even assist you in applying for VA benefits

National Employment Program Director
Jeremy Yost
DAV’s employment program connects transitioning active duty, Guard and Reserve members, veterans and their spouses with employers. There is no fee for the services we provide to you, and by registering with us you will receive updates on employment related news, and be accessible to employers who are seeking your talent.
