DAV Chapter 39 in Oro Valley, Arizona is the newest chapter in the state, officially chartered on March 27, 2025. Our mission is direct and unwavering: to empower veterans to lead high‑quality lives with respect, dignity, and full access to the benefits they have earned. We also work to increase public understanding of the sacrifices veterans make and the challenges they face when transitioning to civilian life.

A Modern, Forward‑Thinking Chapter

Chapter 39 is committed to building a DAV chapter designed for the next generation of veterans. We operate as a fully paperless organization and leverage modern technology to streamline support and claims assistance. Our chapter was selected to beta test an advanced AI system capable of reviewing veterans’ medical records electronically and generating strategic plans for filing benefits claims.

We maintain strong working relationships with the offices of both Arizona Senators and our District’s Congressman to ensure veterans’ concerns are heard and addressed.

Flexible, Accessible Support

Although we do not maintain a physical chapter building, our ability to serve veterans remains strong, mobile, and adaptable. With internet access, our team can file claims from virtually anywhere — even from an iPhone. Chapter 39 is also proud to have one of only five Level II CSOs in the state of Arizona.

We believe that supporting a veteran means supporting their entire family. Our chapter fosters an inclusive, welcoming environment where veterans and their loved ones feel informed, valued, and connected. We actively engage with the community and frequently speak at public events to share information about DAV benefits and services.
